S.I. 636/2023 · WCAG 2.1 AA

Know your EAA exposure in 48 hours.

The European Accessibility Act has applied in Ireland since 28 June 2025. Most consumer websites here have never been tested against it. We scan yours, rank every issue by legal risk, and hand your developer a fix list they can start on tomorrow.

No call required. No subscription. Report delivered by email as a PDF.

Why this matters now

In Ireland, non-compliance is a criminal offence — not an administrative fine.

The EAA was transposed here by the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023. That instrument sets accessibility duties for consumer-facing digital services and attaches penalties to them. Enforcement has been live since June 2025.

€60,000
Maximum fine on conviction on indictment under S.I. 636/2023. Summary conviction carries up to €5,000.
Personal
Company officers can be held personally liable where an offence was committed with their consent or through their neglect.
10+
Service providers with fewer than 10 staff and under €2m turnover are exempt — but must document why they rely on that exemption.

What you get

A prioritised fix list, not a wall of machine output.

Raw scanner exports list hundreds of warnings with no sense of what matters. Every EAA Ready report is sorted by legal exposure first: the things that stop a customer completing a purchase come before the things that merely annoy an auditor.

Every report covers these areas, each mapped to the WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion behind it.
CriterionWhat we checkWhy it matters

  1. You send your URL

One short form. No call, no discovery workshop, no account to create.

  2. We scan

Automated testing across your key pages using the axe-core engine, the same open-source engine behind most commercial tools.

  3. We verify by hand

On Audit Pro, your three main customer journeys are walked through by keyboard and screen reader — the failures no scanner can see.

  4. You get the PDF

Findings ranked by risk, each with the page, the element, the criterion and a concrete fix.

Pricing

Fixed price, paid up front. No retainer.

Comparable WCAG audits from Irish and UK consultancies start around €900. Ours are built on an automated pipeline, so the same standard costs a fraction of that.

Questions

Straight answers before you pay.

Does this make my site legally compliant?
No, and be wary of anyone who says their audit does. A report tells you where your site stands against WCAG 2.1 AA and what to fix. Compliance follows from making the fixes. We measure the gap; your developer closes it, and the re-scan on Audit Pro confirms it.
Is an automated scan enough?
For a first look, yes — automated testing reliably catches contrast, labelling and structural failures, which is where most sites fail. It cannot judge whether your checkout actually makes sense to a screen-reader user. That is why Audit Pro includes manual journey testing, and why Quick Scan is priced as a starting point rather than a verdict.
We have fewer than 10 employees. Are we exempt?
Possibly, for services. The exemption covers service providers with fewer than 10 staff and turnover or balance-sheet total under €2 million. Two catches: it does not cover products you place on the market, and if you rely on it you should be able to produce documentation showing you qualify. A scan is still the cheapest way to know what you would be exempting yourself from.
What do you need from us?
A URL. Nothing else for Quick Scan. For Audit Pro we also need to know which three journeys matter most — typically homepage to product to checkout, or the booking flow. No code access, no logins, no staging environment.
Can you fix the issues too?
Not as part of the audit. The report is written so your own developer can work through it without another meeting. If you would rather have the fixes done, ask in the form and you will get a separate fixed-price quote.
What if the report finds nothing serious?
Then you have documented evidence of that, which is worth having on file. If a Quick Scan returns no critical or serious findings, the fee is refunded in full — clean sites are rare enough that the offer is safe to make and useful to you.
